We have three Mediterranean kitchens across the Des Moines metro: on Fleur Drive south of downtown, in Historic Valley Junction in West Des Moines, and downtown on SW 9th Street. See addresses, hours and directions for each on our locations page.

All three locations are open every day, generally 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with the Fleur Drive and downtown locations closing at 8:00 PM on Sundays. Check the locations page for the exact hours of the spot nearest you.

Use the Order online button at the top of the page to order directly from The Green Olive for pickup or delivery from your nearest location. Ordering direct keeps more of your order with the restaurant than the big delivery apps do.

Our most-ordered plates are the gyro platter, chicken shawarma and kafta kabob. Every platter is built the same generous way — over yellow rice with hummus, salad, garlic sauce and warm pita. See them all on the full menu.

Yes — plenty. Our falafel is hand-rolled and fried to order, and the vegetarian platter brings together falafel, dolmas, hummus, baba ghanoush and salad. Most of our mezze — hummus, baba ghanoush, tabbouleh and dolmas — is plant-based.

Beyond the plates and kebabs, we do wraps, rice bowls, big loaded fries, fresh salads (Greek, fattoush, tabbouleh), a full mezze table (hummus, baba ghanouj, grape leaves, falafel), family meals, kids plates and dessert. See it all on the full menu.

Yes. We cater Mediterranean spreads for offices, parties and events across the metro — family platters of shawarma, kabobs, gyros, falafel, hummus and salads. Tell us the date and headcount on our catering page and we'll put a quote together.

All three locations have seating — dine in, pick up at the counter, or order ahead for delivery. It's the same kitchen and the same menu either way.
